Ryan Meinerding Avengers Study WIP

Whenever I view Ryan Meinerding's illustrations I am mesmerized. It start with the first Avengers Concept art he did that was released in stages and revealed a larger illustration of the original Avengers team. Recently, for Avengers 2, he just released a much larger illustration that needs to be "assembled". I really enjoy his work and am always to learn more techniques for digital illustration so I decided to do a Master Copy. The whole illustration is quite large so I decided to focus on Iron Man and Cap. Below is the first stage that took a couple of hours to sketch out and measure our proportions, also is the original for reference. I still need to measure but that's why they call it a WIP. I'll post my progress as I keep going. The next stage will be to add a grey tone to the background, add the shadow shapes, and more measuring of proportions.
